CIRO Exam Registration Process
Registering for a CIRO exam involves several steps. This guide walks you through the entire process from start to finish.
Step 1: Confirm Eligibility
Before registering, ensure you meet the basic requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Sponsored by a CIRO member firm (for most exams)
- Completed any prerequisite exams (if applicable)
Step 2: Obtain Firm Sponsorship
Most CIRO exams require sponsorship from a registered investment dealer. Contact your employer's compliance department to initiate the sponsorship process.
Step 3: Submit Registration
Registration is typically done through:
- Your sponsoring firm's compliance team
- CIRO's online registration portal
- NRD (National Registration Database) for registered individuals
